Design – Creativity and Function from Hamburg

Every MILLA VON COSY bag is created in our in-house studio. Here we start with an idea that often goes through many steps, prototypes and refinements before it is finally ready for the external sewing department.

This process takes time because we have high standards: we want to combine well-thought-out functionality with an appealing, special design. This creates bags that are not only beautiful to look at, but are also practical companions for your everyday life and evenings - each piece is an expression of our passion for special design and sustainable style.

Our material: this is what MILLA VON COSY bags are made of

MILLA VON COSY bags are made of apple leather, a synthetic leather that is largely made from apple pomace. This refers to apple residues that arise during the production of apple juice or apple sauce. These residues would normally be burned/destroyed. Apple leather is vegan, and its production also uses considerably less water than the production of conventional synthetic leather or even animal leather. We use Ökotex100 for the lining materials, which is also the case for our zippers.
We predominantly use pure brass or real gold-plated brass as accessories. We do this because we believe that this contributes to the longevity of your bag and thus minimizes your carbon footprint.

Embossings – Handmade details with character

The embossing on our bags is a real masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. Each individual embossing is made in Germany by experienced craftsmen and gives your MILLA VON COSY bag a distinctive touch.

The special trademark of our bags is the punched hole in the embossing on the front of each bag. The gold-colored punched backing shimmers through this detail - an elegant accent that underlines our love of special details. This small punch is marked with the serial number of the bag in our Hamburg studio and then attached to the love tag so that you can symbolically give a loved one a part of you

Zippers – Golden accents made in Germany

We source our zippers from one of the last zipper factories in Germany. What we particularly value about this long-established company is its precision and quality, but also its attractive design, which you won't find everywhere.

A special detail is the pendant, which is genuinely gold-plated and shines with value for you. This way we combine functionality with a classy design that makes your bag something very special.

Snap fasteners – quality from Germany

Our snap fasteners are not only functional, but also a real highlight in terms of quality and design. They come from a traditional family business in Germany that relies on many years of craftsmanship and are finished with real gold plating. This detail gives every bag a touch of elegance and underlines our commitment to high-quality materials and careful workmanship. Robust, durable and with a shiny look, the snap fasteners fit seamlessly into the design of your MILLA VON COSY bag.

Sewing – Handwork with Responsibility

Our bags are sewn in Europe with the utmost care and craftsmanship. Every step takes place in an environment that guarantees dignity, respect and fair working conditions.

It goes without saying that we make no compromises when it comes to respecting human rights. Child labor or production under inhumane conditions are out of the question for us.

We have a responsibility - towards all living beings, be they humans or animals, as well as towards the environment. This claim guides us in everything we do and is reflected in the careful and ethical production of every MILLA VON COSY bag.

Serial number – your bag, your story

At MILLA VON COSY, each bag has an individual serial number. You can find this number on the lining label inside your bag.

In addition, the same serial number is also immortalized on the love tag - a small but meaningful detail. It connects the bag and the love tag and makes your MILLA VON COSY bag unmistakable.

The serial number not only represents individuality, but also our belief that every bag has its own story – just like you.

Lovetag – A keychain full of meaning

Our love tag is more than just a keychain - it is a symbol of connection and love. Every MILLA VON COSY bag is accompanied by this special detail.

The Lovetag is made of a high-quality woven ribbon that is made in an old ribbon weaving mill. The wooden looms in the ribbon weaving mill, which is also a museum, have been in use since 1898 and each has its own name. If you're curious, take a look: Ribbon weaving mill Kafka .

In our in-house studio, the woven ribbon is sewn with a strap made from recycled ocean plastic and finished as a keychain.

It carries our message: " A part of me is always with you". This small gift invites you to pass it on to a loved one to share a piece of connection and affection. This way, each bag becomes not just an accessory, but a matter of the heart.
